What can a live-in carer help me with?
Anything you need them to! Your live-in care will be fully trained to meet all of your specific care needs, ranging from personal care and mobility support to companionship and support with keeping on top of the housework.
Is live in care and 24 hour Care the same?
No, they are different. Live in care is suitable if you need regular support for some ailments, but don’t need constant care. If you require 24-hour care for complex care needs, you may require one or two live-in carers as well as support from local visiting care team, who will cover your live-in carer’s breaks and provide support for you overnight. So, if your loved one has advanced dementia and needs constant care during the day and wakes throughout the night, we will ensure we have the very best team of live-in and visiting carers to support them, who will get to know them and their routines and be able to provide care tailored specifically for them.
Why is it important to have CQC-regulated provider?
CQC-regulated provider means that you have greater peace of mind that the service you’re receiving is fully regulated by an independent body. In essence, a CQC-regulated service like ours is regularly monitored for safety, effectiveness and responsiveness, meaning that you can rest assured that the service you are promised, is the service you’re receiving.
What training will my carer/support worker receive?
We have a thorough selection and assessment process whereby new recruits receive both theoretical and practical training to equip them in their role, as well as time shadowing an existing carer or support worker on their shift. In addition to initial assessments, we also hold regular refresher sessions and advanced training for those who have an interest in a specific area of care and would like to develop their knowledge and skills further.
We welcome and comply with the registration and inspection and auditing process that regulation brings.
